Artist's Description

The entrance to the abandoned wooden warehouse on the Sheboygan, WI boardwalk is situated amidst the hustle and bustle of the busy waterfront. Imagine the building creaking in the wind, the sound of seagulls, waves crashing against the piers and the distant hum of boats can be heard in the background. Despite its prime location, the entrance to the warehouse gives off a desolate vibe, with its weathered wooden planks and peeling paint. The stairs leading nowhere are faded, neglected, and in disrepair, adding to the eerie feeling of abandonment and decay.

About Chuck De La Rosa

Chuck De La Rosa

Welcome! My fascination with photography is linked to my fascination with the things around me, what I see. The shapes. The colors. The textures. The grandeur of a mountain scene, the solitude of a flowing water fall, the sadness and beauty of an abandoned but once useful building. And the ability to capture it all on a digital sensor. I visualize, even before I press the shutter, the final framed print showing the wonder and detail of what I saw when I was there. In these galleries you will find scenic and landscape photos, abandoned architecture, the Milwaukee Art Museum and surrounding area, as well as many photos of Door County, WI. An area I call the jewel of Wisconsin. Thank you for visiting! I hope you enjoy your visit and ask...
