Artist's Description
An abandoned 1940 DeSoto on Hwy 42 in Door County, Wisconsin, a vintage car that is no longer in use, left by the side of the road. Covered in snow, showing neglect and disrepair, with its paint faded, rust spots and missing parts. It is a historical relic, serving as a reminder of a bygone era of automotive design and technology. The backdrop of Door County's snow-covered and overcast landscape adds to the eerie and abandoned feel of the vehicle.
About Chuck De La Rosa
Welcome! My fascination with photography is linked to my fascination with the things around me, what I see. The shapes. The colors. The textures. The grandeur of a mountain scene, the solitude of a flowing water fall, the sadness and beauty of an abandoned but once useful building. And the ability to capture it all on a digital sensor. I visualize, even before I press the shutter, the final framed print showing the wonder and detail of what I saw when I was there. In these galleries you will find scenic and landscape photos, abandoned architecture, the Milwaukee Art Museum and surrounding area, as well as many photos of Door County, WI. An area I call the jewel of Wisconsin. Thank you for visiting! I hope you enjoy your visit and ask...

Chuck, I've captured the same De Soto in the snow and admire the perspective you obtained. Well done. Wonderful color in the rust.

Chuck, this is a fabulous image ... first of all I love the style of this particular DeSoto ... but you've also composed it very intriguingly, with the hint of the old barn in the distance. Love your edits ... you've brought out all the glory of the golden rust!!! l/f and a tweet
