A Vintage General Store
About Chuck De La Rosa
Welcome! My fascination with photography is linked to my fascination with the things around me, what I see. The shapes. The colors. The textures. The grandeur of a mountain scene, the solitude of a flowing water fall, the sadness and beauty of an abandoned but once useful building. And the ability to capture it all on a digital sensor. I visualize, even before I press the shutter, the final framed print showing the wonder and detail of what I saw when I was there. In these galleries you will find scenic and landscape photos, abandoned architecture, the Milwaukee Art Museum and surrounding area, as well as many photos of Door County, WI. An area I call the jewel of Wisconsin. Thank you for visiting! I hope you enjoy your visit and ask...

Chuck, great nostalgia! It reminds me exactly of "Miss Lucy's" which was down the street from where I lived as a child, operated by two spinster sisters. There was always a bit of penny candy in store for me when I went to buy a loaf of bread for my Mom. voted

I do remember these days when you could get penny candy, and actually take time to chew to fat a bit with friends and neighbor, not quite like the self check outs and hustle and bustle of today's shopping. Love this great historical and nostalgic capture, Chuck! fave and vote
